11/5/2023 0 Comments Festool ct midi![]() Includes the adjustable bypass hose end fitting. It is specifically for use with older (pre-2019) CT Mini & CT Midi Dust Extractors. I like my health and don't wish to compromise it or my families. Fits older CT Mini and CT Midi Dust Extractors (non-Bluetooth enabled). I really like my Kapex and don't wish to damage it. The premium brands like Fein or Bosch are comparable in price to a Midi which from the above comments is acceptable for the Kapex or even possibly the Mini Dust extractor is okay. Ideal for assembly work HEPA filter removes 99.97 of particulates down to 0.3 microns Integral automatic electronic switch-on/shut-off for extraction from. And then, can I count on the power supply outlet on a lower price brand or model being up to the task. I would want to jury rig an auto start or buy a auto switch if I don't get a Festool or another Premium brand with the auto start function. The power consumption for the Kapex never entered my mind. After reading the about comments, I not sure that is a good idea. I was considering going to a Box Store to get a decent (?) non Festool vacuum fitted with a HEPA filter along with a Dust Deputy to save some money. I do have a CT26, used with the sanders, DF 700XL Domino and TS55 REQ and I have both size hoses. I am in the process of making some improvements to my crude miter station and a dedicated dust extractor is a big consideration for my basement shop. Yes it is a pain and sometimes I forget to make the switch. I switch my Oneida mini Gorilla vacuum (HEPA) from my Table Saw to my Kapex as needed. I don't often move my Kapex, but the wheeled stand works well when I have to. I bought the Festool wheeled stand and like it a lot. By the way, find the laser Allen wrench that Festool hides somewhere in the box. I know that here are many negative posts about the Kapex, but mine has been flawless. ![]() I use a zero clearance insert I bought from Betterley (not sure about spelling). You probably know to let the saw come to a complete stop before lifting the head to reduce the chance of throwing the cut off. I also move the saw through the cut listening for any signs of the saw bogging down and acting accordingly. I found the letting the dust collector run for a few seconds before beginning the cut improved dust collection. I swapped out the standard hose for a short bigger diameter hose and the dust collection improved. The vac’s anti-static braided sleeve hose measures 11 ½ ft.I've been using my Kapex with a dedicated Midi for years with no issues. The vac is fully integrated with Festool’s stackable Systainer system. The Midi has 130 CFM of suction and a 3.9 gallon container capacity. The 2019 Midi vac has several new features: an integrated bluetooth module for remote wireless activation, touch panel controls for suction level, on/off and Bluetooth pairing, a hose storage compartment with flat top, a manual filter cleaning mechanism and an easy-to-change filter. Just plug your Festool tool (sander, track saw, edge bander, etc.) into the Midi and the Midi into the wall to begin the superior dust extraction. ![]() Its compact size makes it easy to lug up stairs, to the job site or into quarters, while its HEPA filter keeps dust out of the air, out of your lungs and off your workpieces. The Festool Midi matches a highly portable vac with a bag capacity that takes on the dust of a track saw, router or Domino joiner.
